Often forgotten, yet highly underrated is the perfect way to describe Matt Schaub. It really does not seem like Schaub has been in the NFL for nearly seven seasons, but that is largely because he spent the initial part of his career under the radar backing up Michael Vick for the Atlanta Falcons. The second part of his career for the Houston Texans has seen him come into his own, but it still seems like the time is coming where he will take his game to another level. Here is a list of his top 3 passing seasons in the NFL. 2008- 3,043 Passing Yards It was his second year on the Houston Texans and he was starting to feel much more secure with the way Gary Kubiak wanted him to run the offense. Although, he did not get the team to the playoffs, his passing numbers for the regular season were quite impressive as he completed 251 passes out of 380 attempts, had a 66.1 pass percentage completion, 3,043 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and had a 92.7 passer rating. 2009-4,770 Passing Yards- NF...

Schaub says injury "not looking good"

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub hopes he can return this season from a foot injury, though he acknowledges ''it doesn't look good.'' Schaub injured a Lisfranc joint in his right foot in the second quarter of Sunday's 37-9 win in Tampa Bay. He stayed in the game, but only threw three passes in the second half. Coach Gary Kubiak called the injury ''...

2011 NFL Power Rankings: Week 11

Notes from Shane: Just when the Texans finally begin to look like a team that can and would win their division, they get the awful news that Matt Schaub is likely to miss the rest of the season. I took that into account when ranking them. Still, they should continue to play good football despite the loss. The Lions have lost 3 of their last 4 games, and they're on the brink...

What does Matt Schaub’s injury mean to the Texans? (Video)

Source: Schaub not definitely out for season

It remains up in the air whether Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub is out for the season due to a foot injury. "Nothing definitive yet," a source told Scout.

My Night With Some of the Houston Texans (Continued)

As I stated before, last night was both a great night and a terrible night all wrapped up into one. While at the 360 Sports Lounge I received multiple emails and tweets about QB Matt Schaub’s possible season-ending injury. I immediately began checking with fellow fans to confirm the bad news and sure enough, it was spreading like wildfire. Now, before I go any  further let...

The Houston Chimera Loses Its Ugliest Head

Matt Schaub: Fellow members of the Houston Chimera, we stand at a crossroads. To date, we have achieved what we set out to do. With a 7-3 record, we are owners of our fate and the top seed in the AFC. Our long-awaited goal of reaching the postseason is finally within our grasp. But you will have to travel the final length of your journey without me. Andre Johnson: So what? I been...

Mama, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Quarterbacks

Ouch!  To say week 10 was a rough one for quarterbacks around the N.F.L. would be an understatement.  Matt Schaub may or may not be done for the year, depending on who you listen to.  Matt Cassel is done (does it matter?) and both Michael Vick and Ben Roethlisberger are banged up enough to have their fantasy owners concerned. Since kickoff weekend, several teams have made...

Favre to Texans? 'No truth to it ... it's not happening'

Well, this didn't take long. With Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a foot injury, an all-too-familiar name popped up on the radar. Yes, that's right - Brett Favre. ESPN's Adam Schefter responded equally as fast, saying that there is "no truth to it ... it's not happening." As it stands, the 42...

QB talk with Jim Mora

Former NFL coach and current NFL Network studio analyst Jim Mora on whether Houston Texans QB Matt Leinart can get it done in replacement of injured starter Matt Schaub, and whether the high-flying Green Bay Packers can go undefeated and how the New York Jets will defend against the run-heavy attack of the Denver Broncos…
