Could Lawrence Tynes' job be in jeopardy? With a quarter of the season completed, Tynes has missed three kicks from 40 yards or less. Despite missing three "makeable" kicks, he has not been awful. In 2009, Tynes has made 10 out of 13 field goals. On Sunday, against the Chiefs, he missed from 38 yards. His other two misses were from 29 and 21 yards. Apparently, this latest miss vexed Coughlin. On Tuesday, Coughlin turned up the heat on Tynes. Former Giant Matt Bryant and former Raven Matt Stover were invited to New Jersey for a visit. Although Bryant and Stover left the Meadowlands without a contract, Coughlin has fired his first salvo at Tynes. I think Tynes better get his act in gear or he is out of a job. It is my opinion, Tynes has a strong leg. I think Coughlin is kicking (no pun intended) himself for not activating Tynes in last year's playoff game against Philadelphia.
