Rumors and Rants:
What’s the most humiliating product a football player could possibly endorse?
Yet the adult diaper found a way to cross into the mainstream (no pun intended) in a new commercial featuring Pro Bowlers Clay Matthews, DeMarcus Ware and Wes Welker.
ANNOUNCER GUY: Now I know you don’t need them, but would you try these on for charity and prove how great the fit is?
MATTHEWS: No way.
WELKER: For charity? Let’s do it!
And they are off to the locker room to try on the new Depend Real Fit — looks and feels like underwear instead of a diaper, so no one will know you’re wearing it until you piss yourself!
I will say that this commercial is exceedingly well-written. Matthews and Ware are bound to catch a lot of crap (no pun intended) for doing this ad, but now their character arc allows for them to say “We weren’t going to, but Welker guilted us into it!” And Welker can say “I’m such a generous guy, I’ll gladly wear an adult diaper for a good cause!”

Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis says that he forgives Patriots receiver Wes Welker's wife for the disparaging comments she made about him on Facebook.
Linebacker Anthony Spencer will be an unrestricted free agent in March. However, the Cowboys have had initial talks and both sides are optimistic a deal can be reached. The Cowboys could place the franchise tag on Spencer for a second straight season, which would cost $10.6 million via Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com. Spencer had 106 tackles and 11 sacks in 14 games. Spencer was...
A lot could change from now until national signing day on February 6. In football recruiting there is always some last minute things that develop as the national letters of intent are sent in via fax machine. Let’s hope that is the case with 4-star defensive end Jason Hatcher.
Late last week Hatcher’s recruiting was in a state of flux. A week ago Hatcher announced via his Twitter...
Editor’s Note: Are NFL Players stuck on Stupid?
After the Josh Brent tragedy that enveloped the Dallas Cowboys, one of the team’s marquee defensive players Jay Ratliff some how, some way allowed himself to get arrested for DUI last week.

Hot News for QB Tom Brady
The New England Patriots came into this season with the pundits praising their wide receivers. However, as many of you know, through injuries and underperformance, the Patriots wide receivers became a hotbed for criticism and the need for improvement was apparent. Right now, the Patriots have three wide receivers going who are unrestricted free agents:
One thing about being in the media is you have an outlet to editorialize whatever you like. If I want to write Kobe Bryant should be traded to the Knicks no one can stop me from doing that.
So, when Hector Longo from the Eagle-Tribune wrote his “Bye Bye Brady” article I didn’t immediately dismiss it. I was curious to read his rationale.
Here is a part of it.
Are Tom Brady’s...
According to Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, tosses out a hypothetical idea that would involve Randy Moss returning to the New England Patriots next season.
Reiss writes that “one could make the case that Moss’ vertical presence would be a better fit with the Patriots next season.“
Reiss made the case earlier for the Patriots revamping their receiving corp this offseason, so it’s...
With all the coaching changes that the Dallas Cowboys have made, a team source told ESPN’s Ed Werder that it’s ”Ridiculous” to think Jon Gruden is will replace Jason Garrett at some point.
Response from reliable team source when I asked if TB glory-days asst. coaches being hired in Dallas meant Gruden on way: “Ridiculous.”

Who wants to see Tom Brady in an Arizona Cardinals uniform?
Well, he pulls it off. Just like he does most things. And one writer from a Massachusetts paper says it would benefit the New England Patriots if he was actually in one next season. Yes, seriously.
Now, before you call him crazy, let's look at his arguments, and then give reasonable responses that prove his...
What would be a Super Bowl without talking about SpyGate? It seems to come up every year, and it is rearing its ugly head, once again. This time in the form of an accusation from the former best player on the St Louis Rams, whom the New England Patriots defeated in Super Bowl XXXVI. Former All-Pro and MVP running back Marshall Faulk told CSNNE.com’s Tom Curran, that he believes...
