Pro Sports Daily:
Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew said he is “confident” his left ankle injury will allow him to play Sunday at Seattle.
Jones-Drew sat out practice today at San Jose State University headquarters for the Jaguars this week while they stay on the West Coast between games against Oakland and the Seahawks.
Jones-Drew clarified when the injury happened – his left ankle stuck in the ground after he was tackled high by Raiders safety Charles Woodson. Linebacker Nick Roach rolled into Jones-Drew’s right ankle but that was not injured.
“I feel like I’ll be fine” Jones-Drew said. “It’s kind of a little setback but we’ll see how things go today and hopefully I’ll be out there tomorrow or Friday.”
Jones-Drew said the swelling in the ankle had gone down today but some remains.
Jones-Drew said Woodson’s tackle wasn’t a dirty play.
“A great play for a guy his age to kind of sell out to do that” Jones-Drew said. “I thought it was a horse-collar but he made a phenomenal play. It

Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew will test his ankle a few hours before Sunday's kickoff. SOURCE: Ryan O'Halloran, Jacksonville.comFantasy Spin:MJD will basically be a game-time decision, but the decision for fantasy owners is an easy one. With a matchup at Seattle on the schedule, Jones-Drew should be avoided, injured or not.
While most continue to focus on what is happening in Cleveland and make their jokes (not us), we really need to focus more on the real laughingstock of the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are so bad, that oft-injured and…Read more →
Here is my 2014 NFL mock draft so far. Lots of things can happen to shake this mock up in the coming weeks with a few new prospects, but this where things stand now.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
It doesn’t a genius to tell that Jacksonville needs a quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater is at the top of the list. He...

The good news is MJD's x-rays came up negative and the veteran back could return soon, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco.Gus Bradley says MJD...
According to the Florida Times Union, the Jaguars are ”optimistic” that RB Maurice Jones-Drew will be able to suit for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
HC Gus Bradley told reporters on Monday that Jones-Drew suffered a tendon strain during Sunday’s loss to the Raiders.

The Jaguars are the obvious pick as the worst team in the NFL after losing to the Raiders. Fortunately, the prize is a franchise quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater. The Jaguars need someone like that badly. Chad Henne is better than Blaine Gabbert, but only by default and after amassing barely over 100 yards of total offense before garbage time against the Raiders,...
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Dwight Lowery walked around the facilities at San Jose State, drawing inspiration from his journey to the NFL.
The safety was a two-time All-American with the Spartans and holds the school record for most interceptions (nine) in a single season. He helped build the program and is doing the same with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are using the San Jose State...
Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis practiced on Thursday after rehabbing a calf injury which has kept him out of the first two games this season.Fantasy Spin:Lewis hasn't been a viable fantasy tight end since 2010 (58-700-10) and with the quality at tight ends around the league in 2013 - he still isn't one.

The 2013 NFL season could be renamed the year of the injury with as many star players missing a good chunk of time due to serious health issues. Players like Rob Gronkowski who are key to their teams success just can’t seem to catch any luck and keeps rebreaking his arm. While the game of football can be tough and rough, there is nothing that players can really do to prevent this...
