NFL Network continued there countdown of the top 100 NFL Players in 2012 last night.  The Steelers had two players show up on the list.  Center Maurkice Pouncey and WR Mike Wallace were the two Steeler entries this week.  They join LaMarr Woodley as the frist 3 Steelers on the list.

Pouncey came in first at number 49.  There are 10 offensive linemen on the list and Pouncey was one of them.  For him to be slated in the top 50 as an interior linemen says a lot about him.  It shows the respect players have for him.  During the video the players use the words nasty and athletic many times over while talking about him.

Pouncey played the entire season on an injured ankle.  He still managed to make the Pro Bowl and become an All Pro for the second time.  Pouncey has had that ankle fixed in the offseason and is already participating in Steelers OTAs.  It should be another good year for Pouncey especially with David DeCastro now beside him.

Mike Wallace came in two spots ahead of Pouncey at number 47.  Wallace also showed up on the list for the first time.  Neither of these guys were on this list last season.  For them to jump to the top 50 is pretty amazing.  Wallace deserves to be on this list.  If he would have continued on the way he did at the beginning of the season he probably would have been even higher.

Wallace had another 1000 yard season last year.  He is well on his way to being great.  He was just a speed receiver but now is becoming a complete receiver.  Once Wallace gets signed he will be back on the field making plays again this season.  He will have another big season in 2012.

The best part of the entire show though was listening to Ike Taylor.  He had some great soundbites from the show.   He is pretty funny throughout the entire show.

The Steelers have 3 guys left on the list.  They most likely will be Polamalu, Roethlisberger and Harrison.  They all are in the top 40.  That means Roethlisberger has moved up on the list.  We will see how it plays out.
