Max Starks tweeted that his rehab is going well and hopes to be ready by July.  That is good news for Starks.  He can get into someone’s camp and make an impact on a team.  Could that team be the Steelers?  It is possible but it will depend on the draft.

The Steelers head into the draft with Marcus Gilbert at Left Tackle and Willie Colon at right.  If the Steelers draft a tackle in the first 3 rounds it is unlikely Starks will return.  If not the possiblity remains open.

I think the Steelers would still be better off with Gilbert at RT and Starks back on the left side depending upon his health.  He should come really cheap again this year as he is again coming off a major injury.  He could be worth a shot.

Starks came in last season to a struggling line and got the team together.  He brought leadership and a presence that got the guys going.  Jonathan Scott could not play left tackle and Gilbert was not ready yet for that role.  Starks could do the same thing this season for the Steelers.  I would not be against it.
