cover32 - Bills:
When we heard the news about Kiko Alonso’s injury we all shed a tear for Buffalo losing one of it’s most exciting players on the defensive side of the football. Personally this hit me a lot harder than most as since January 27th, 2014, I have been writing a first person diary from what Kiko Alonso tells me happens and Cover32 shares it with the world. Kiko let me know that he will have to take this recovery process very seriously and that his mom told him he needed to move out of the firehouse.
Nickell will be searching for a new roommate via craigslist over the next week, however we at Buffalo’s Cover32 site wanted to share with you a brief tribute to the man, the myth, the legend: Kiko Alonso.

The Buffalo Bills official website's Chris Brown listed 5 new additions to the team that warrant close attention when training camp begins later this month.
RB Anthony Dixon, DB Corey Graham, LB Brandon Spikes, WR Sammy Watkins and OL Chris Williams.
Brown on Dixon: 'The thickly built running back may be seen by most as a short-yardage specialist, a role he previously...
In today’s NFL, more and more teams are having success with a stable of ball-carriers versus the days of yore where one running back would carry the team to victory. The Buffalo Bills epitomize this trend, touting three strong running backs in the case of Bryce Brown, Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller for the 2014 season.
Brown mixes size and speed, Spiller electrifies the crowd with...
Typically speaking, sports fans tend to worry about two things – the past and the future. They’ll debate who was the greatest player of all-time, while also spending hours discussing whether or not a rookie is going to be develop into an All-Pro.
Both are fun exercises, things that keep fans engaged and the beer flowing at the local tavern. But they miss out on what is most important...
In early February, Super Bowl XLVIII was played in the New York / New Jersey area, the first time the big game had been played outdoors in a cold-weather market. This opened the window for every NFL city to throw their name into the hat as a possible host for future title tilts.
Currently, less than half of the league’s markets have hosted a Super Bowl, as only 15 metro areas can...
When cover32 released its list of the top 10 outside linebackers in the NFL today, there were some people angry about their favorite team’s top pass rusher not making the list. It made for a bit of spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article.
And it also begged another question: How close was Mr. Irate Fan’s OLB to making the list?
To provide an answer, the...

Today: The Buffalo Bills
Last Year: 6-10 (4th place in AFC East)

For Bills fans who have gotten used to 6-10 in each of the last three seasons, there is nowhere to go but up. While the 2013 NFL QB class was by no means an elite group, (Geno Smith and Mike Glennon were decent), Bills QB EJ Manuel was the first and only QB taken in the first round last year. That first year was mired with the knee injury that really hampered...

BY DAN BEGNOCHEIt's well established that the transition from college to the NFL isn't always a smooth one. A bigger stage, thicker playbook and faster overall game can take time to adapt to, even for the most talented of players. One youngster seemingly unaffected by the differences thus far is Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who sounds ready for a trial by fire...
Certain players are simply synonymous with certain numbers. It’s hard to see No. 4 without thinking of Brett Favre. Seven will always be John Elway. A pair of twos right next to each other is Emmitt Smith. And the sight of 56 conjures up memories of Lawrence Taylor.
Those are some of the all-time greats, players who have etched their names in the NFL’s history books. But there...
It really is such a shame, I used to like Donte Whitner as a player, but I have lost all respect for him as a man after reading his most recent remarks about Buffalo and some important people within our community. If you missed out on the recent battle in the Twittosphere, get caught up with James Kriger’s article here:
According to Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com, free agent acquisition is G Chris Williams is the “only lock to start among the newcomers.“
Brown adds that Bills’ HC Doug Marrone “had an edict to get bigger up front and that’s been done across the board on the offensive line in both free agency and the draft,” which likely explains the reasoning for Williams being...
So, yeah, I didn’t really have any pieces last week thanks to me deciding to take a week off from my actual job. Where was vacation to? BUFFALO! Seriously, I often tell people I never really travel and then I catch myself and go, “Wait. I travel to one place: Buffalo!” I probably make 3-4 trips back a year (July 4th, Bills opener, Thanksgiving and Christmas).
