By Paul KenyonINDIANAPOLIS _ There is only one player in Super Bowl XLVI who is trying to win a ring for the second year in a row. Center Nick McDonald got one last year with the Packers. Now, he is hoping for a second with the Patriots.
In some respects this one would be more rewarding, McDonald said.
``I'm contributing more to the team this year,'' he pointed out. While he was with the Packers all of last season, he was never active in a game. This season, he was waived by Green Bay in early September and signed to New England's practice squad a few days later.
McDonald is viewed as a prospect who needs to gain experience and strength. He played at Grand Valley State. He is 6-feet-4 and 316-pounds.
``I work on my strength in the weight room every day, learning from the older guys. I try to pay attention even more and do a little extra,'' he said.
