Oakland Raiders running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson both have high ankle sprains that leave their status in doubt for the upcoming week. Both players left Sunday's 42-32 loss to Tampa Bay with the injuries. Coach Dennis Allen said Monday that he hasn't ruled either player out for the next game Sunday in Baltimore but the team may need to bring in another back in case they will be unable to play. X-rays and an MRI on McFadden came back negative. Goodson is undergoing an MRI on Monday. Allen also said defensive tackle Desmond Bryant is back home resting after spending the night in the hospital for an irregular heartbeat. --- Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL

State of the AFC West: Week 10 Edition

It was a painful week in many ways for Silver and Black Nation. It was bad enough that Bucs rookie running back Doug Martin made like Walter Payton against the Oakland defense. Add to that the twin high-ankle sprains for Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, and the week could not have gone any worse. McFadden has not been ruled out [...]

Darren McFadden, Mike Goodson both have high ankle sprains

Oakland Raiders running back’s Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson both suffered high ankle sprains during Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers. I believe fullback Marcel Reece ended up finishing the game as their tailback. High ankle sprains typically take some time to heal.  I would think the Raiders will need to pick up a free agent running back.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function...

Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said on Monday that running back Darren McFadden suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay, but he had not been ruled out for this Sunday's game against Baltimore. Darren McFadden Diagnosed with High-Ankle Sprain

The injury Raiders running back Darren McFadden suffered Sunday has been classified as a high ankle sprain.Fantasy Spin:McFadden is doubtful to play next Sunday at Baltimore. Ordinarily the logical next step here would be to pick up Mike Goodson off waivers, but he also got hurt on Sunday. Fantasy owners affected by the McFadden injury may have to get a bit creative in Week 10.

Mike Goodson Has High-Ankle Sprain

Oakland running back Mike Goodson has indeed suffered the dreaded "high ankle" sprain and is likely to miss an extended period of time.Fantasy Spin:A golden opportunity missed by Goodson, who would have been in line for a big time workload in the absence of lead back Darren McFadden (also out with a high ankle sprain). Taiwan Jones and Marcel Reece will take over the running...

Raiders running back Darren McFadden is nursing a sore shoulder, but the injury-prone running back will play in Week 9.Fantasy Spin:Surprisingly, Mcfadden has played all seven games this season. What is more concerning than his health is that he's averaged more than 3.9 ypc in just one of the seven games.

Run DMC Has A High Ankle Sprain

I almost had you fooled Juan… We should of seen it coming.  Darren McFadden and injuries go hand in hand.  On the first play of the game he apparently suffered a high ankle sprain.  Somehow, he and the training staff decided to let him play through the injury.  He then of course made it worse and left the game early. Adam Schefter confirmed that the RB had suffered the dreaded...
