The Denver Broncos were expected to be starting Tim Tebow when the first week of the NFL season rolled around. Now, however, things look different. It appears the Broncos were bluffing when trade rumors leaked, and now it’s a virtual certainty Kyle Orton remains the Broncos starter for the foreseeable future.

Denver also underwhelmed when signing Willis McGahee to a three year deal worth $7.5 million. Fans who had been crossing their fingers in hopes DeAngelo Williams would join were disappointed when Denver was outbid and he resigned with the Panthers. McGahee brings some power to the position, but he doesn’t figure to get a lot of carries or challenge Knowshon Moreno for the go-to role in the offense. Expect some goal line carries and the lion’s share of touches if Moreno is re-injured; otherwise, steer clear of McGahee in drafts.
