When right tackle Kareem McKenzie was carted from the field on Sunday, the way his teammates reacted it looked like his season was over. But one day later there seemed to be a little optimism with what might be just a badly sprained groin. And I say “might be” because Tom Coughlin waffled when asked for specifics on the injury. He did say that McKenzie “seemed to be doing better” and that “There wasn’t as much bleeding as there could have been with something of that nature.” All that is good, even though Coughlin said they won’t really know McKenzie’s status until they see how he is on Wednesday. But a tear is obviously much more serious than a strain. Coughlin initially said it was strained, then seemed to change his mind. “Um, whatever they call it. Strain.
