Bryant McKinnie, the Minnesota Vikings' 2002 first-round pick, tweeted moments ago that his physical with the Baltimore Ravens is complete.
That's not the big news, though.
McKinnie had an interview with ESPN Radio and says he was told he'd play left tackle for the Ravens. He told host Mike Salk that the Ravens told him that he'd play left tackle and slide Michael Oher to the right side.
This is significant because Oher was drafted as a left tackle. The move also gives Oher a couple more years to develop because McKinnie's contract, according to multiple sources, is for two years worth up to $7.5 million.
McKinnie makes the Ravens offensive line stronger and could solve their problems, at least temporarily, at right tackle.
