Donovan McNabb is a borderline Pro Football Hall of Fame candidate, but it seems his contributions at Syracuse will be immortalized. The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback tweeted on Monday that the university plans to retire his No. 5 on Nov. 2. McNabb played 13 seasons in the NFL, most recently in 2011 with the Minnesota Vikings. He was drafted in 1999 by the Eagles with the second overall pick. He started every game in his four-year career, finishing with 8,581 total passing yards and 78 touchdowns. He was the Big East Offensive Player of the Year in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
