According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter Melvin Bullitt is done for the year:
Safety Melvin Bullitt will miss the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his shoulder, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Bullitt was Bob Sanders‘ replacement in the starting lineup and a special teams captain.
Replacing Sanders has turned into a full-time role the last few years. Bullitt has started 15 out of the last 18 games he’s played, with 25 starts since 2005.

This is dreadful news. It feels like there was a time that was not so long ago when the Colts group of safeties were possibly the deepest spot on the team. Now we’re down to our third string strong safety. With injuries to Bob Sanders and Bullitt there are only three safeties on the roster:
Antoine Bethea – Starter at free safety.
DaJuan Morgan – Played his first two seasons (2008 and 2009) with the Kansas City Chiefs, starting in just two games.
