Memorial service for Dwayne Haskins to be held in Pittsburgh later this month

A memorial service for quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who died tragically over the weekend, is set to be held in Pittsburgh on April 22.

Haskins' widow, Kalabrya, announced plans for the memorial in a statement that also thanked fans for their outpouring of support.

"I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to every loving soul who has supported our family during this arduous time of loss," the statement reads. "The overwhelming thoughts and prayers have been fuel for our emotional depletion."

A memorial was also held this week at Ohio Stadium where Haskins had a very successful collegiate career with the Buckeyes.

Haskins, 24, was killed early Saturday morning when he was struck by a dump truck on a highway in South Florida, where he was in the middle of offseason training with other members of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
