Mets At the Top of Hudson's List

As of September 28th, 2008, Orlando Hudson has been on the Mets radar. After Luis Castillo basically glued himself the bench, the Mets have been in need for a second baseman. There has been tons of reports on the Mets wanting to trade Castillo, but after reports last week, there's a chance that Castillo will be our starting second baseman in 2009.According to ESPN.com, a source has said that second baseman Orlando Hudson's first choice is to be a Met. The Mets would likely have to trade Luis Castillo before signing Hudson. Easier said than done!Even though Luis Castillo had a putrid season in 2008, teams are still interested in the second baseman. The Mets have had talks with the Diamondbacks regarding trading Castillo. Although talks occurred, no trade was made.
