NFL running back Reggie Bush was considered the next greatest thing to come out of USC in 2006. But since then he hasn’t lived up to the hype as being one of the greatest running backs we’ve ever seen since Barry Sanders and Walter Payton. Those were the Hall of Fame players that Reggie Bush was compared to coming into the NFL. Now seven seasons later we don’t know what’s in store for the injured prone Bush.Reggie Bush did turn his career around when he went down to Miami for the last two seasons. He rushed for 2,072 yards and 12 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Dolphins. Those aren’t bad numbers for a player that most thought was washed up.Still with those kinds of numbers the Miami Dolphins are looking to go with Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas for the 2013 season. It’s just a little disappointing they wouldn’t want to retain Bush as he’s still only 28 years old and can still be dangerous. This past year was the only season that Bush played all 16 games without injury. When he first came into the league he was prolific in the back field and can catch the ball. That made him a threat for any team facing the New Orleans Saints. But injuries held back a potential star in the making.Nobody is feeling sorry for Bush at all. He’s made tens of millions playing in the NFL and let’s not forget he helped the Saints win their first Super Bowl championship in 2009. That feat for him helped a lot of his problems go away quickly.I thought that the Miami Dolphins was a good fit for Bush but when you’re not winning games and making the playoffs everyone seems to be on the hook; unfortunately it was Reggie Bush. Now let’s see which team takes on this veteran back next season.I would love to see Bush on the New York Giants. Now that would be something to look forward to. I know it isn’t Christmas yet but I love to dream big. A two year deal wouldn’t hurt.
