Miami Dolphins are reportedly expected to have a key starter back in 2024

The Miami Dolphins' offensive line is one of the biggest areas that its front office will have to address this offseason. Fortunately, it appears that a big piece will still be in place for 2024.

According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, LT Terron Armstead is expected to be back in 2024.

Armstead made comments back after the season ended casting cloud over whether he would return for 2024. However, it appears that the Dolphins will likely have their starting left tackle back for at least one more season.

Armstead hasn't exactly been a pillar of reliability on the football field, failing to play a full season in any of his 11 seasons in the league. Last year, knee and ankle injuries cost the veteran lineman seven games.

However, his return still gives a bit more stability to a volatile unit. Connor Williams, Robert Hunt, and Isaiah Wynn - Miami's Week 1 starters - are all free agents. Williams would normally merit franchise tag consideration, but Christian Wilkins also being a free agent likely keeps that from being an option. Austin Jackson did sign an extension during the season.

For the time being, the Dolphins appear to be able to count on their tackle spots for 2024. Now it's time to fix the rest of the unit.
