Miami Dolphins (4-3) at Indianapolis Colts (4-3) Both of these teams sit at 4-3, meaning this game could easily have playoff implications and one or both of these teams could make the playoffs. I bet you didn’t see that coming. I would say these teams are pretty equal. I had Miami ranked 10th in my Power Rankings and Indianapolis ranked 11th. However, for some reason, Miami is actually road favorites here of 2.5, which makes no sense. Miami was +2 in New York to play the Jets. The Jets are 4.5 points better than the Colts? I know the Jets beat them, but that was when Indianapolis was flat off of the ChuckStrong game. The Colts are playing much better since then (they’re 3-1 in their last 4 overall) and it’s hard to believe that the Jets are now 4.5 points better than the Colts when the odds makers thought they were just .5 points better a few weeks ago (NY Jets -3.5 at home). Yards per play and rate of sustaining drives second my opinion that these two are about even. Indianapolis r...

Dolphins expect Ryan Tannehill to play, but he’ll be a game time decision

The Miami Dolphins are very secretive about the health of their players.  Ryan Tannehill has practiced on a limited basis all week for the Dolphins, but Joe Philbin will not say for sure if Tannehill will play on Sunday.  The Dolphins officially listed Tannehill as questionable for the Dolphins big matchup with the Colts.  However, according to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins are...

Pouncey: Tannehill the best rookie QB

Dolphins center Mike Pouncey believes that Ryan Tannehill is the best rookie quarterback in the NFL and predicts that the rookie will be an elite quarterback like Tom Brady.

Richards: Reitz to Start

Over at The Indianapolis Star, Phil Richards reports on the continued shuffling of the Colts offensive line.  Indianapolis has dealt with so much injury and instability along the offensive line that when Joe Reitz finally came back from his injury, Arians chose to keep Jeff Linkenbach in for continuity.  Now Linkenbach is injured, and the shuffling begins anew.  The Colts started...

Bell: Wayne's Take on Luck

Reggie Wayne has been a leader for the Colts this year, in both his on-field play and his mature press-handling. Jarrett Bell's article on how Wayne views the Luck/Manning comparison brings the veteran's thoughts to light. According to Wayne: "I'm glad I stayed, to help [Luck] create his own legacy. He's going to have to win some games, win some rings, before...

Dolphins bangwon filling up

There was once a time when the only time you heard the Miami Dolphins mentioned by the National Media was when they were being ridiculed or mocked. Well that time was not that long ago, in fact the Dolphins were hardly given any respect even this past offseason. Missing out on Jeff Fisher, and Peyton Manning many media members around the league laughed saying...

Indianapolis Colts slowly regaining their health

The Indianapolis Colts haven't only been adjusting to their overhauled 2012 staff and roster. A spate of injuries has had the Colts shuffling personnel on both sides of the ball every week since the beginning of the season. Now it appears that the Colts are getting relatively healthy. Interim head coach Bruce Arians told the media today that he expects the Colts to be at full...

Colts downgrade Brown's status to questionable

The Indianapolis Colts say running back Donald Brown is questionable for Sunday's game against Miami. He had been listed as probable most of this week after returning last weekend following in-season knee surgery, but team doctors found swelling in the knee Saturday. Team officials now say Brown will be re-evaluated before Indy (4-3) turns in its list of inactive players 90...

Colts Notebook, November 1st, 2012

It’s all about the solo: updated tackle data

If you play in IDP leagues like I do, you know there is nothing more frustrating that seeing your star linebacker get ten or more tackles, only to see seven were scored as assists and just three were solo. What if I told you that tackles are not an official NFL stat? Tackles for both teams are recorded by the home team’s official scorekeeper and submitted to the league. Why the...

Key Matchups WK 8 - Dolphins.

After yet another close victory last weekend against the Titans, the Colts return home to welcome an equally surprising Dolphins team to Lucas Oil Stadium. The visit of Ryan Tannehill again pits Andrew Luck against a rookie counterpart, and (as is the case with Brandon Weeden) both quarterbacks have reason to lament the quality of receiver they're throwing to, so it should be...

The New Miami Dolphin Logo... JOE KNOWS

In Miami, Joe knows… ''We're not a super high-scoring offense today as we speak; I think we're going to get better as the year goes on,” said Philbin in his weekly press conference. The Dolphin... Reggie Bush And His Lady On A Boat

I’m the captain of this boat Juan…  Do you think Reggie is bumping a little ‘I’m On A Boat’ or ‘Boats And Hoes’ while taking his lady sailing?  I just thinking it’s about time time he gets back to running like he did early in the season and this is the perfect matchup to do so. JDub's Fantasy Football Week 9 -- Wide Receiver

Reggie Wayne has gotten a lot of receptions but he hasn’t gotten very many touchdowns.  But it’s not something that you should worry about.  This week he is a must-start against the Dolphins defense, who are one of the worst in passing defense.  I’m even benching Victor Cruz in a fantasy league of mine so that I can start Wayne.  He had a 200-yard performance earlier...
