On Monday night, Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told reporters that he would meet with offensive tackle Jonathan Martin on Wednesday to discuss the outlandish allegations against suspended guard Richie Incognito.
At the request of the NFL league office, The Miami Dolphins announced today that their meeting with Jonathan Martin has been postponed.
“Ted Wells and the National Football League have asked that we delay our meeting with Jonathan Martin until they have the opportunity to meet with him first,” Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel explained. “Out of deference to the process, we will cooperate with their request. We look forward to meeting with Jonathan directly as soon as possible.”
Ross also announced on Monday night that is also expecting to meet with Incognito before deciding his future with the organization.
My bet is that we will never see Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito in a Dolphins uniform again.
The question now becomes, if you were a postseason bound NFL franchise who needs offensive line help, do you sign Richie Incognito?
I know I would.
