One of the best things about the Miami Dolphins’ 33-17 win at Oakland on Sunday was how many different people got offensive touches.
Even with Brandon Marshall out with that hamstring injury — or perhaps because of his absence — the Dolphins did a much better job of spreading the ball around and keeping the Raiders defense guessing.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said he told his players last week that, “When you’re trying to get something done, sometimes you need fewer architects and more bricklayers.”
Not sure if that was a veiled shot at Marshall or not, but it definitely reinforced the idea that selflessness and distribution of wealth is the way to go for this Dolphins team in general and the offense in particular.
