DAVIE — Dolphins safety Reshad Jones wants to make one thing clear.
He never lost his starting spot. There’s a difference between being demoted because of performance and injury. He was sidelined a couple games even after he was healed from a knee injury he sustained against the New York Jets Oct. 17.
As Jones says, the coaching staff was just waiting for him to regain full health.
“It was just that I had an injury and had to wait until I was 100 percent for the coaches to feel like I was ready to get back out there and produce at a high level,” Jones said.
Although Tyrone Culver filled in admirably those four games, it seems the plan was never for Jones to be unseated. Jones said he never doubted his return to the starting lineup. The coaches alerted him he would start days before last week’s game against Buffalo.
“I want whatever is best for this team, and obviously that’s up to coach (Tony Sparano),” Jones said. “But I always felt he was pretty confident in me.”
Now, he says he’s
BEST OF MAXIM
I’m hoping that there are similarities between the Miami Dolphins season and my season picks. I missed a bunch of weeks, but currently sit at an impressive 1-6-1 record. Not quite as bad as the Dolphins 0-7 start, but bad nonetheless. Actually, if you are a betting man/woman, you’d be wise to pick the opposite [...]
Dan Carpenter’s groin injury apparently didn’t improve quickly enough for the Dolphins’ kicker to play against Dallas on Thanksgiving. Carpenter, who had never missed a game in his four NFL seasons until missing Sunday’s win over Buffalo, did not travel with the team to Dallas today, a source confirmed. Shayne Graham will handle the kicking [...]
The Miami Dolphins won their third straight game on Sunday, defeating the Buffalo Bills 35-8. Sunday’s game was not only the 3rd straight victory for the Dolphins, but it was the 3rd straight game that they won by 11 points or more. In their last 3 games, the Dolphins have outscored opponents 86-20. That means [...]
Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore was named a candidate for the NFL’s FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for his impressive performance in Sunday’s 35-8 rout of the Buffalo Bills.
Moore, who completed 14 of 20 passes for 160 yards and threw three touchdown passes, finished the game with a 133.3 passer rating, which was the highest rating of any player last week.
Do you see random sh$% while driving to work and think it needs to be seen by the masses? Does the guy who sits next to you at work look like a tool on a daily basis? Does your dog lick his balls in an odd fashion? Is your neighbor working on some sort of outer space vehicle behind his shed? We want your WTF photos.
The Cowboys and Dolphins playing on Thanksgiving will forever conjure memories of the 1993 game. Dallas defensive lineman Leon Lett adding to his blunderful reputation by sliding across ice and snow to bring alive a dead ball, setting up Miami for the winning kick as time ran out.
With Lett now part of the Cowboys' coaching staff, and Snickers pushing a lighthearted ''...
As Chris Berman always says, no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.
Unfortunately, the Bills appear to be perpetually traveling as members of the Donner Party.
A once-promising season is swirling down the toilet after the Bills lost their third-straight game on Sunday, this one a 35-8 blowout at the hands of previously impotent Miami, which has suddenly won three...
All the momentum the Buffalo Bills had early in the season has been stolen by the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have become the only team in history to lose their first seven games, then win their next three. The Bills have gotten destroyed in their last two games, and lost four of their last five.
So when they met yesterday, maybe it shouldn't have been that surprising that Miami...
CALLING THE GHOST OF LEON LETT!
There is no time to celebrate the win in DC. The NFC East Leading Dallas Cowboys will play the Miami Dolphins who are now playing good football after getting off to a terrible start. Their defense has not let up a TD in their last 3 games.
Romo and company need to be focused or the Dolphins will spoil alot of Thanksgiving Day Dinners.
Did Sunday’s 35-8 rout of Buffalo leave Dolfans thirsting for more? It could be argued that even the AFC East champions of 2008 never played as well as these Dolphins are playing now, which is all the more reason to have that just-can’t-wait feeling of anticipation for the Turkey Day showdown with the Cowboys in [...]
