That’s what Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne said a few weeks ago when asked how long he planned to remain on the roster. Well, the nudge is probably the Dolphins deciding to go after a big-name quarterback this offseason.
By showing interest in Peyton Manning, Matt Flynn or trading up to draft Baylor’s Robert Griffin III, it’s likely Henne’s days with the Dolphins are done. Unlike Matt Moore, Henne’s contract has expired.
The chances of him returning are slim.
“I hope so,” Henne said of playing in Miami next season. “If not, then I’ll move on, but I love this team. I love being down here.”
Henne started four games before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury against the San Diego. He’s completed rehab and said he’s ready to contribute wherever he lands.
