For the first time in nearly two months the Miami Dolphins have a long list of injuries that need to heal.
It is typical that teams and player to start wearing down in the final quarter of the season, but the Dolphins might be forced to play without six starters heading into Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Starting left tackle Jake Long sat out Wednesday’s practice with a back injury. He did conditioning drills on the side, and its possible he’ll play on Sunday even if he doesn’t practice all week.
Long has never missed an NFL game despite suffering a serious knee and shoulder injury last season, and prides himself on his iron man reputation.
Offensive guard John Jerry filled in as the starting left tackle during Wednesday’s practice.
Outside linebacker Koa Misi sat out Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder injury he suffered in Sunday’s game against the Eagles. His injury seemed serious after the game, and it didn’t help matter that he wasn’t even in attendance.
