TEAMS: Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher a few moments ago met with the local media for the first time.
It was Fisher’s first chance to explain why he chose the Rams instead of the Miami Dolphins. Both teams were the finalists for the services of the former Tennessee Titans coach. What Fisher revealed was hardly a secret to anyone.
He said the main factors in his decision were Rams owner Stan Kroenke and quarterback Sam Bradford. Their presence was enough for Fisher to forget about the Dolphins perhaps being closer to making the playoffs than the Rams. Last year St. Louis finished 2-14, four games worse than Miami.
“When I set out, I made the statement maybe a month ago, I had two factors,” Fisher said. “One was a good owner and the other was a quarterback. I’m very excited about the opportunity.”
