Three coaches have made it to the second round of interviews.
According to a source, Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will meet again with Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and interim coach Todd Bowles. The meetings will take place in New York.
The pool of candidates appears to have dwindled. Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub is out of the running after resigning with his current team. Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer also appears to be on the outside looking in.
Philbin, Bowles and McCoy have interviewed with various teams recently, meaning the Dolphins have competition. Philbin and McCoy have both talked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while Bowles met with the Raiders. It doesn’t help the Indianapolis Colts could factor in the mix after they fired Jim Caldwell.
