As we continue the Team Needs series for the 2013 NFL Draft, we proceed to the team with the twelfth overall pick; the Miami Dolphins. Unlike most offseasons the past decade for the Dolphins, things finally feel like they’re headed in the right direction. A big part of this has to do with the feeling that a quarterback they drafted finally appears like he’ll work out.
First year head coach Joe Philbin should get a large portion fo the credit for the immediate success of Ryan Tannehill. Sure, he was inconsistent as a rookie with little to no real offensive threats, but if the team can add some talent on the offensive side of the ball in this draft, the AFC East could get real interesting real soon. Here is the approach I believe the Dolphins will take as they head into the draft.
