Kevin Curtis’ comeback story has ended abruptly, at least with the Miami Dolphins. Curtis, the veteran wide receiver who returned to game action less than three months after undergoing testicular cancer surgery, was waived Tuesday along with backup center Eric Ghiaciuc, a source said.   Curtis, a former standout with the Eagles and Rams, caught one pass for 6 yards and also carried once for 6 yards, both against the Bills. In their place, the Dolphins have signed offensive tackle Allen Barbre and linebacker Mike Rivera, who was poached off the Packers’ practice squad. Barbre was a Packers fourth-round pick in 2007 out of Missouri Southern State. At 6-4 and 303 pounds, he appeared in 25 games the past three seasons, starting seven. He spent time this year on the Seahawks practice squad. Rivera is 6-2, 245 pounds and was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas.
