The Miami Dolphins have waived linebacker Tim Dobbins, cutting the six-year veteran the team’s decision makers signed to a contract extension during last year’s training camp. The Dolphins waived Tim Dobbins to make room for a rookie. Dobbins, who started six games last season, contributing 47 tackles and one sack, was due $1.7 million in 2011 in the final year of a two-year deal that guaranteed him $3 million.
