Patrick Cobbs needs you to know the truth.
For two years the NFL has listed Patrick Cobbs as “Stanley Cobbs” on it’s Pro Bowl balloting under the special teams contributor category.
The first year I though it was some kind of mistake. But after discovering Cobbs, the Dolphins’ special teams captain, was again listed as Stanley on the online ballot I knew something had to be up.
The NFL doesn’t make too many errors, and they certainly don’t repeat them.
So I asked Cobbs on Friday. Turns out Stanley is Cobbs first name. Patrick is his middle name, but the one that he’s used all his life considering he was named after his father.
