In what I’m told is another sign the Miami Dolphins are seriously considering  shutting down Jake Long in the coming days or weeks, the team worked out a pair of left tackles over the weekend. Levi Jones, who made a combined 97 starts for the Bengals and Redskins from 2002-09, was one of them. The other was former Colts starting left tackle Tony Ugoh, who made 27 starts for the perennial contenders from 2007-09. Jones, 31, has battled leg, foot and knee injuries at various times in his career. Ugoh, a second-round pick out of Arkansas in 2007 — where he just missed Dolphins QB coach David Lee — was waived/injured before this season with a lingering toe injury. A source said there was “nothing imminent” with the signing of Jones, and Ugoh likely falls into that category as well. In the short term, the Dolphins could simply replace guard/center Cory Procter, placed on injured reserve Saturday with a torn ACL in his left knee, with practice squad prospect...
