Miami Dolphins linebacker Kevin Burnett is sidelined by a foot injury, raising doubts about his availability for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Burnett was added to the injury report Thursday, when he did not practice. He missed much of training camp with a back injury but started the Dolphins' first two games.
Reserve defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (knee) and receiver Marlon Moore (hamstring) also sat out practice. Starting cornerback Richard Marshall (back) and reserve receiver Anthony Armstrong (hamstring) were limited.
Backup running back Daniel Thomas has practiced fully the past two days after missing Sunday's win over Oakland with a concussion.

The Miami Dolphins finally got some good news on Wednesday. The Dolphins welcomed back 3 key players to practice, just 4 days before their season opening game against the Texans. The most important returning player is the Dolphins 300 lb. All-Pro left tackle, Jake Long. Long sprained his MCL just 9 days ago in practice [...]
It is sort of sad that the best part of Hard Knocks comes from a player that isn’t even on the roster anymore. Regardless of what you think about what happened in the domestic incident between Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada, you can’t deny that Johnson in entertaining.
He seems to be taking responsibility for everything and not laying the blame on anyone else. More than anything...

There are a few things that might stand out from this years edition of Hard Knocks featuring the Miami Dolphins. Maybe it was Ryan Tannehill’s wife, or his phone number, but most likely it was Chad Johnson, even though he was off the team before we could all get used to him in teal. His [...]

If you’ve been following all of my picks, you’d know I love betting against rookie quarterbacks week 1. They tend to, predictably, struggle in their first NFL action. Since 1994, rookie quarterbacks have completed 55% of their passes, averaged 6 yards YPA, and thrown twice as many picks as touchdowns during...

Garrard was in the running to become the Dolphins starting quarterback until Texas A&M rookie Ryan Tannehill was named the week one starter by head coach Joe Philbin.
Garrard has not played since early August when he needed surgery on his knee to remove loose bodies. Garrard...
