It is unknown just how the Baltimore Ravens will immortalize John Harbaugh (a sizable raise is in order), but his former school, Miami University in Oxford OH, is going to give him the highest honor by adding him to the Yager Stadium’s Cradle of Coaches Plaza with a full-body bronze statue. Harbaugh, fresh off of delivering a Super Bowl title to the Ravens, will have his statue alongside some of the greatest head coaches in the history of footall, such as Earl “Red” Blaik, Paul Brown, Carm Cozza, Paul Dietzel, Wilbur “Weeb” Ewbank, Ara Parseghian, John Pont, and Glenn “Bo” Schembechler. That’s pretty good company. “Miami is a very special place and as anyone who played or coached at Miami knows that the Cradle of Coaches is a great honor,” Harbaugh said in a press release. “To me, there is no greater recognition in coaching. To be included with these great men is something only dreamed about.” It’s pretty amazing feat.
