by Dennis J. GeorgatosFiled under: Broncos, AFC WestRaiders starting running back Michael Bush has undergone surgery to repair his broken left thumb.
Bush confirmed the procedure on his Twitter account Tuesday. He indicated that during Monday's procedure he had screws inserted in the thumb to stabilize the fracture, which he suffered during Saturday's exhibition against the San Francisco 49ers.
Bush referred to the injury as a "Bennett fracture," which the Contra Costa Times ' Jerry McDonald observed was fitting in a way because, as McDonald wrote, "teammate Michael Bennett was the one helping him tie his shoes in the locker room Saturday night."
But a Bennett fracture does refer to a specific injury. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
