Anyone with a pair of eyes could tell FedEx Field was in terrible condition toward the end of the NFL season.  It was especially bad for the playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.  So bad that Seahawks full back Michael Robinson got out his cell phone and took a video of it before the game started.  He can be seen in the video below digging his shoe into the dirt and saying “this is terrible” and “I’m surprised they didn’t dump sand in the middle.”  RG3 took a huge hit to his knee in the Ravens game, and I doubt the Redskins facilities helped out very much in the coming weeks.  He clearly couldn't run side to side at all, and it's possible even if he tried, he would have slipped and busted his ass.  Late in the Seahawks game a bad snap caused RG3 to tear his ACL And LCL which required surgery.  Hopefully they can get him back before the start of next season.  Get your field maintenance together Washington.  The NFL players association has already filed a complaint about the conditions at FedEx.
