Never one to avoid confrontation with his former team, DE Michael Strahan told the media on Tuesday that the New York Giants robbed current DE Osi Umenyiora with his one -year contract. Umenyiora, 30, signed a one-year deal worth a reported $6 million dollars which included a $2 million dollar signing bonus. Strahan, speaking to reporters at a celebrity golf tournament, said that he would have taken a harder stance with the team and would have considered sitting out the 2012 season if that’s what it took to receive more money. “If it were me, I would have sat home and I wouldn’t have played. That’s just me. Ive threatened to do that in my time and I ended up getting what I wanted. Osi’s a little different mindset than me. I’m probably a little more, ‘I don’t care what people think.’ For him it works out, he’s going to be fine, he’s going to play well. If he played well under the previous situations of being unhappy to being somewhat happy now, I’m sure he’ll do great,” said Starahn
