I don’t care if he only had 12 pre-season snaps. I don’t care if he was rusty. No NFL offense with this level of talent should ever play that poorly. Michael Vick played one of, if not, his worst game as an NFL quarterback.

I used to think that Michael Vick just needed some good coaching, but…

the problem with that is, the mistakes Vick makes simply can’t be coached. You can’t coach, or change someone’s animal instinct, and when that instinct is to force throws into double coverage, and dive head-first into people 100lbs bigger than you, that is a major problem.

People are always saying that Michael Vick needs to stay healthy for the Eagles to compete for a championship. No ****, but not only that, they guy has to actually play well when he’s healthy! When is the last time that’s happened?

I know the offensive line didn’t play it’s best game, but Michael Vick does absolutely nothing the help his own cause when it comes to taking hits. He was getting the **** beat out of him today, and most of the time it was after he got rid of the ball.

I literally pinched myself, and rewound my Tivo because I couldn’t believe he actually threw a ball out of bounds.

I know a lot of people like to call Michael Vick dumb and stupid. I don’t think that’s the case, but it’s clear that he doesn’t possess the football acumen to play the quarterback position at a high level consistently like some of the elite quarterbacks in the league. He just doesn’t do the little things you need to do to be effective.

He doesn’t feel the rush, stares down his receivers, and just flat out doesn’t see lurking defenders in pass coverage. He’s had issues reading defenses his whole career so that shouldn’t be much of a surprise I guess.

We all know Michael Vick can throw the ball–he has one of the strongest arms in the league and despite being tagged as being inaccurate, that’s simply not true. Donovan McNabb was inaccurate. Michael Vick’s problem is that he makes piss poor decisions multiple times throughout a game, and in important situations.

Making things worse, Andy Reid and Co., have a big play feast or famine style offense, so instead of having someone in to block a blitzer, everyone is out on a route. That’s all well and good when your 6 foot tall quarterback sees the rush and has a clean lane to throw into, but when the hell does that happen? Maybe 3 or 4 times a game if that?

Have you ever watched Tom Brady? Yes he’s a great QB, but one of the reasons he is as great as he is, is he has historically always had incredible protection. I watch him sometimes, and he literally stands still in the pocket sometimes for 4 or 5 seconds while going through his progressions. It’s incredible really. You would think that Andy Reid would want the same for Vick, but no.

They have him taking 5 and 7 step drops. By the time he finishes his drop, there is someone in his face, whether a defender, or King Dunlaps 10 foot tall goofy looking ass.

Thank God for LeSean McCoy. He literally put this team on his back in the 4th quarter and was the only one who wasn’t committing penalties and doing dumb ****. That man is a boss.

And thank God for Brandon Weeden. If anyone on the field played worse than Vick it was him. He was overthrowing guys, throwing picks, and just looked like the sorry ass rookie that he is. If I were Weeden I would just retire.

In the NFL, a win is a win, but I don’t feel that great about this one. We didn’t win this game. We just somehow didn’t lose it. That can’t happen anymore if the Eagles want to make the playoffs and in the next 5 games, the Eagles will face Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Ben Rothlisberger, and Matthew Stafford. Last time I checked, all those teams can score points, which means the Eagles will also need to score points. **** even Kevin Kolb looked good when he came in for the Cardinals and led them right down the field for a touchdown today.

The Eagles offense better get their **** together fast, or this is going to be one long ass football season.

The Michael Vick Conundrum - Root for Vick or Foles?

It’s very easy to pile on Michael Vick after his 4 interception performance against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Anyone who reads this site with any regularity knows without any doubt that I’m no fan of Michael Vick. Never have been, probably never will be. Eagles coach Reid knows Vick needs improvement

Michael Vick had a performance to forget, even as he led the Eagles to victory. Vick through four interceptions and never had any consistency until he led the Eagles 91 yards for the go-ahead score in a 17-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. But there were misreads. There was miscommunication. And overall, there was just something missing as he continues to find his way in this offense...

Player Quotes after loss to Eagles

(On finishing a lot of hits on Michael Vick)- “That’s just how we play. DQ [D’Qwell Jackson] said it best; we’re just trying to pick an identity for ourselves. We’ve got to be a good defense- we’ve got to create an identity. Get the ball, rush the quarterback, make plays," Robertson said.

Morning Muse: Performance of the Eagles offense ‘alarming’

So many points of concerns from the Philadelphia Eagles’ ugly 17-16 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday that it’s hard to know where to begin. Mike Vick’s poor decision making? The beating he took in just one game (thank God for military-grade Kevlar vests…)? The pass/rush imbalance? And how happy should we really be about winning a game by one point given the fact...
