NFL Injury Report:
Michael Vick remains the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia
Eagles for the time being, reports Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Therehave been rumblings that following the Eagles’ poor showing Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons the team could replace Vick with rookie quarterback Nick Foles.
On depth chart released to reporters, Vick is still starting QB, Watkins at RG. Cox is now starting DT.

The Eagles released a depth chart yesterday that still has
Vick as the team’s starter. Both he and Foles have told reporters that they
haven’t been told of an impending quarterback change.
Entering the season, most Eagles’ fans knew it was a
possibility Foles would be seeing time this season as Vick’s replacement.
However, many thought this was due to Vick’s proclivity to get hurt.
Instead, Vick’s been able to remain relatively healthy over
the team’s first seven games, but his performance has left something to be
desired. The veteran has thrown eight interceptions and has fumbled nine times.

“Michael Vick was our quarterback, is our quarterback, and will be our quarterback.” Those were the words of Eagles coach Andy Reid Thursday as he addressed the media for the first time this week. Vick, who has been severely criticized over the past few weeks, called a player-only meeting at the Nova-Care complex today. It is unknown what was said in this meeting, but I’m...
Monday Night Football 1. He gave the Eagles a chance to win, but the Eagles’ porous defense...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick knows his status as the starting QB is week-to-week.
"Obviously, (Reid) is thinking about making a change at quarterback," Vick said during his post-game press conference Sunday. "If he makes that decision, I support it."
Reid said after Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons that he would go back and evaluate...
If there is anyone who can relate to the struggles Michael Vick is going through and the pressure he is under while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s Donovan McNabb. The Philadelphia media had its way with McNabb for years and there were times when the fans were worse. During an appearance on “NFL AM” Tuesday morning, McNabb defended Vick in the wake of reports that...
There was a time not too long ago when having Mike Vick, Tony Romo or Mark Sanchez as your quarterback was considered living well in the NFL. Now it is like the sports version of marry, boff, kill.
If you had to choose one to build your franchise around, one to win a single game and death is not an option (neither is abstaining) whom do you go with?
Be careful with quick answers...
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Eagles head coach Andy Reid has announced that he’s sticking with quarterback Michael Vick.
The good news for Vick is that he’ll be going up against the Saints defense this week, which is one of the worst in the NFL.
On the other hand, the bad news is that the Eagles’ defense has to try to stop Drew Brees.

Eagles coach Andy Reid was noncommittal after Sunday’s loss when asked about the job security of Michael Vick. Vick said Reid is “obviously thinking about making a change,” but there was no confirmation of that from the head coach himself. “I’ll go back and look at everything,” said Reid. “I’m not going to sit here and make decisions right now. I’m going to go...
The quarterback and the coach alike have chosen to make it a topic for public conversation, so, here it is. Who should the Eagles start moving forward – Michael Vick, or Nick Foles? The logical answer is fairly straightforward, actually. However, there are many mitigating factors at play here.
Donovan McNabb is familiar with what Michael Vick is going though. Having played as the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles for eleven seasons McNabb is familiar with some booing in his direction.
The expectations of fans and ownership have not been met with successs on the field this year. The Eagles are currently 3-4 on the season and lost for the first time after a bye in the...

A big congrats to JamesMorse for winning this week by picking correctly on the winner (Broncos, which makes me sick), and three of the four categories correctly. With Michael Vick facing a lot of uncertainty regarding his job status as Philadelphia’s starting quarterback, another former Eagles quarterback chimed in with some words of encouragement. The message: focus on your game, not the media, according to Pro Football Talk’s Michael...
Donovan McNabb knows a thing or two about playing through a quarterback controversy, so he understands that rampant speculation about Michael Vick potentially getting benched could impact the Eagles quarterback.
"You have to focus on your job and if you focus on your job you block everything out," McNabb said on Tuesday's NFL AM.
"I think you...
When you listen to as much Philadelphia sports commentary as I do, you start to hear the same narrative over and over. One of the more common phrases used in reference to Andy Reid’s 14-year tenure is “the definition of insanity: repeating the same experiment over and over again expecting different results.”At a disappointing 3-4, the future seems bleak for die-hard Eagles fans...
