People questioning how Michael Vick will fit into Chip Kelly’s uptempo read option scheme need not worry about whether or not Vick can still scare defenses with his legs. Vick will be 33 next month, but today showed he can still outrun the best of them.  According to Thacover2 via a source close to the situation, LeSean McCoy had been on Vick’s case for weeks now, calling him “old man,” and constantly challenging him to a foot race. Today Vick apparently got fed up, and asked head coach Chip Kelly if he could settle the argument with McCoy in an old-fashioned 40 yard dash. Kelly line the two teammates up and they raced.  Eagles punter Colt Anderson was the first to let social media how things went. Vick just beat Shady in a 40 yard race. @mikevick — Colt Anderson (@AndersonColt) May 2, 2013 Vick took to Twitter as well to brag, and according to teammates and folks at the scene, Vick smoked Shady McCoy by more than five yards. So today at the field 1 of my teammates called me old & bagged to race me in the 40yd dash. Anybody want to guess which player? #BirdGang— Mike Vick (@MikeVick)May 02, 2013 Beat him by a few yards too lol #SpeedKILLS— Mike Vick (@MikeVick) May 02, 2013 I’m not at all shocked that Vick can still run a 4.5 40 yard dash.  Now if he can just hold on to the football and stay healthy.
