According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, RB Mike Goodson‘s future with the New York Jets remains “up in the air.“
Goodson’s May arrest, in which he was found in possession of guns and drugs, resulted in five charges and his case will head to a grand jury where it could take a few months to resolve.
People in the organization the Jets are reportedly rooting for Goodson as they believe he can become a dynamic player for their team. On the practice field, Goodson’s explosiveness has reportedly been impressive and the believes he is an ideal compliment to Chris Ivory.
Cimini believes that a plea bargain will be offered at some point, and if the gun chargers are dropped, Goodson could possibly face a one-game suspension for marijuana possession.
