I have said it before and I'll say it again. It is darn good to have Mike Leach back in college football, and it seems he gives us a new reason to love him every day. He is never afraid to share his opinions and thought son anything, and yesterday was no exception.
The Internet was buzzing with the news that Washington brought a live tiger out to practice this week to prepare their players for what they will see this weekend when they visit LSU. The idea was to ensure the players would not be fazed by the sight of a live tiger on the sidelines, even if in a cage, but the viral sensationalism of the news had to have been planned out as well. Remember, Washington is very proactive in social media and one of the best at utilizing their social networking skills. The college football world knows that the Huskies probably stand little chance against the LSU Tigers this weekend, but hey, we're talking about Washington positively right now and that's a good thing.

Losing the season opener to BYU apparently hasn't stopped Washington State head football coach Mike Leach from being Mike Leach. The Pirate King heard that his Washington counterpart Steve Sarkisian brought a caged tiger on to the practice field sidelines while the Huskies prepared to face LSU this Saturday, and naturally had to comment on it.

In virtually any survey or measure of national interest among NFL fans, the Arizona Cardinals rank near or at the bottom.
But at least Cardinal fans can rest assured that they defy stereotypes. In a sometimes humorous take, the NOC, an entertainment channel about the personalities and lives of athletes, attempted to capture the essence of each NFL citys fans.

Even though Wells is starting, I believe Ryan Williams will also get a nice chunk of carries himself.
The Arizona Cardinals have confirmed that the team and LB Daryl Washington have agreed to a new contract that will keep the 2010 second-round draft pick out of TCU under contract through the 2017 season. Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed, but Washington had been signed through the 2013 season at league minimum base salaries of $540,000 in 2012 and $630,000 next...

Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells was added to the injury report Friday with a hamstring injury. Wells was limited in Friday's practice but told reporters he expects to play in Sunday's opener in Glendale, Ariz., against the Seahawks. Second-year back Ryan Williams would start in Wells' place if he's unable to play. Seattle has a running back question...
These teams have strong defenses. In a division won by the 49ers last year because of defense, this should come as no surprise. Teams often wind up mimicking their divisional rivals (the Ravens are built around defense, power running, and a developing quarterback with a big arm and big body, just like the Steelers), and the NFC West is no exception. Both teams have considerable continuity...
This week Matt speaks with Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon. They talk about the mindset of NFL players this close to the season; discuss the situation with backup referees; a thought on Cam Newton; a preview of this weekend's matchup of the Seahawks-Cardinals game; and his thoughts on John Skelton being named the starter.
Among his observations:
