Mike McCarthy gives Joe Philbin a ringing endorsement

Coaches take a great deal of pride in the fruit that falls off their coaching tree, and new Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin is the first members of Mike McCarthy’s Green Bay staff to get a head coaching job. He’s the first bird out the nest, and those are always special. McCarthy, who gave Philbin a glowing endorsement to Dolphins owner Steve Ross, believes his former assistant will do a phenomenal job in Miami.
