The Green Bay packers went into Sunday night feeling pretty good about their team. They left New York wondering what hit them in a 38-10 loss to the New York Giants. For the first time since 2008, the Packers were blown out and the pounding left them scratching their heads. Going into the game with a 5 game winning streak, while the Giants entered the game on a 2 game losing streak, something had to give. It was the Packers who didn’t rise to the challenge. Head Coach Mike McCarthy after the game spoke about the loss, and that it should be a wake up call, if not a gut check. "I think this is a game that really makes everybody look inside and find out what you're about," McCarthy said via Tom Oates of The Wisconsin State Journal. "I believe in what we're about as a football team. I haven't felt like this probably since the first game I coached as a Green Bay Packer head coach. We were beaten very thoroughly tonight. It doesn't taste good. It doesn't feel good. "The thing I'm interested in is accountability and responsibility. I feel we have those kinds of people. We'll get ready for Minnesota. Everything we want to accomplish is still in front of us and that'll be our focus." Aaron Rodgers called the loss was embarrassing. "We've got to regroup," he said. "We've got to get a couple things shored up. When you win five in a row, everybody's happy but, like I said last year during the run, that there's things that kind of go under the radar that need to be handled. Sometimes it takes a loss to handle those things."
