ESPN is reporting that Tennessee Titan head coach Mike Munchak could be interested in becoming head coach at Penn State. According to an anonymous source, Munchak's "heart is torn" and that Munchak is exactly what Penn State needs as its new head man, ESPN says. The thought here is that if Tennessee does not make the NFL playoffs, Penn State will go hard after Munchak since the Titans' season will have ended. If the Titans make the playoffs, it means it will be at least another week before Penn State can interview Munchak, and Penn State might not pursue him because time is now of the essence to get a permanent head coach in place in Happy Valley. A Scranton native, Munchak's Titans are 8-7 and need to beat Houston on Sunday and have other things fall into place in order to make the playoffs. For the ESPN story, click here.
