I guess Mike Tomlin is still shaken up over losing to Tim Tebow in the playoffs, as he wanted nothing to do with a camerman at Rupp Arena.

It appears Tomlin says “You got enough, bro? You got enough? I’m trying to watch the game.” I doubt the cameraman was obstructing his view of the game but, in the unlikely case that that is true, I wouldn’t want to miss another Anthony Davis rejection either.

Report: Roethlisberger Checked Out Of Running Plays About 20% Of The Time In 2011

We passed on word earlier today that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was on ESPN 970 while down at the Pittsburgh auto show on Sunday where he revealed that he was told by the coaches after the season ended that he would be returning kicks and punts for the Steelers in 2012. Sanders also was asked by Gerry Dulac during the interview how many times did he estimate...

How Would Mike Wallace’s Departure Impact the Offense?

By Jeremy Hritz The Mike Wallace debate continues to heat up. The question of whether or not he will be signed by another team has earned national attention, with speculation of New England, Cincinnati, San Francisco, and Baltimore gearing up for a run at the speedy wide receiver. While it seems unlikely that Wallace will be wearing a different jersey next year, just what exactly...

Steelers have ‘real concern’ over losing Mike Wallace

The Steelers, as they’ve traditionally done, uncovered a gem in Mike Wallace, turning a third-round draft selection into one of the league’s most explosive players. Unfortunately, it’s a double-edged sword, as his playmaking ability might make it tough for the team to retain its Pro Bowl receiver. NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora reported Monday night that there is “real concern”...

Steelers position review & outlook: Linebackers

We took a short break from our position review and outlook series once all the hoopla started with the Steelers coaching staff and Ben Roethlisberger.  While that’s still a hot topic, as is free agency, it’s high time we got back to this series. Next up is the Linebackers, arguably the most notable group on the Steelers year in and year out. They are traditionally the most talked...

Cost of first round tender and franchising Mike Wallace

Starting on Monday, February 20th, NFL teams can begin using their Franchise Tag if they choose. It’s not required that a player be tagged on this date, it’s simply the earliest they can use it. There will be some teams that jump on this right away I’m sure. It’s very unlikely the Steelers will tag Mike Wallace immediately but they have about 3 weeks yet until the March 13th...

The answer to the Steelers backfield is already on the roster

I suppose I’m a lone wolf on this one, at least when it comes to the main stream media and social networking world. It seems that everyone is trying to tell me that Isaac Redman isn’t the long term answer at running back for the Steelers. I keep seeing on twitter and reading on the web how so many, including some of the “experts”, say the Steelers need to draft another running...

Mendenhall’s injury and ‘tweets’ could cost him a spot with Steelers in 2012

Rashard Mendenhall is facing the end of a 5-year $9.5 million contract for 2012 and a torn ACL.  His 2011 season ended in the final season game against the Cleveland Browns.  General Manager Kevin Colbert admitted that it may take Mendenhall a while to get healthy. “Potentially Rashard Mendenhall might not be ready for camp,” said Colbert. “In my mind, I never feel good...

Why Pursuing Mike Wallace is Insane

In the past few days, Bengals nation and some media types have become aflutter with the possibility of Cincinnati making a move for Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. Since the Steelers are tight against the salary cap, a deal could be structured that would make it difficult for Pittsburgh to bring Wallace back. However, because [...]

Mike Tomlin gets a bit irritated with ESPN cameraman at Kentucky basketball game (Video)

On Saturday afternoon, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was in the front row of Rupp Arena to watch the Kentucky basketball team host Ole Miss. Tomlin was a guest of Kentucky basketball head coach John Calipari and was sitting next to Kentucky football head coach Joker Phillips. ESPN found Tomlin in the crowd and showed him on camera, but Tomlin became a bit irritated...

Report: Roethlisberger and Haley still have yet to speak

In the who gives a crap category of the month, Mark Kaboly is reporting new offensive coordinator Todd Haley and Ben Roethlisberger have yet to meet.  Kaboly also states that he does not think Roethlisberger has any intention of making the first move. I am getting tired of this story.  If Roethlisberger is so worried about talking to Haley quit being a high school girl and walk...
