  • No excuses, the Steelers are just not that good. Front seven gets pushed around and cannot stop the run. McLendon is definitely not the replacement for Hampton. Todd Haley's offense does not fit Ben's strengths and needs to be released. I just want to know where is Markus Wheaton!? This team has no playmakers! One last thing for all you Ike Taylor haters can now zip it! He controlled AJ Green and is clearly a shut down corner.
  • If Heath Miller is healthy then he is a huge upgrade at tight end. I think the lack of having a good tight end when that position was such an intrical part of the passing game, is whomever decided that Paulson or Spathe would have plugged that hole for the first four weeks. Paulson can't block and he has shown he is capable of making big blunders. If you want to run the ball the way the league is now unless you have A.P. You better be able to pass, and the way we are doing things now we can't pass and we can't run. The Oline played better against the Bengals but we have too many small guys running around to catch the ball and no one commands a double, heck sometimes in Paulson's case I don't think he is even accounted for. Scheme can go a long way to help the offense. Bunch formation with the small guys and keep Paulson off the field, go five tackles if need be he is a liability.

Steelers Mike Tomlin Post Game Press Conference – Week 2 – Bengals

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media following the 20-10 loss Monday night to the Cincinnati Bengals and below is the transcript from the press conference. Opening Comment: We are a frustrated group right now. I just told the group that is a natural response. More important than that a couple of things we have to accept and acknowledge and number one we...

Steelers open to all options after 0-2 start

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says it's not time to panic, but it is time for his struggling team to consider switching it up. The Steelers fell to 0-2 with a 20-10 loss to Cincinnati on Monday night and have scored just 19 points in two games. Tomlin says each one of his players shares the responsibility of turning things around and indicated he's open to tinkering...

At 0-2, Steelers offense searches for a spark

Unlike most of his teammates in the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room, wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery knows what rock bottom looks like. This ain't it. If any of the other Steelers want to know what true despair is following their own lifeless 0-2 start, Cotchery will grimly fill them in on the details. Cotchery was in his first year starting for the New York Jets in 2007 when...

Big Ben needs to protect himself

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger needs to be a little selfish this season.

Big Ben Now Must Be Perfect

Mike Prisuta explains why Ben Roethlisberger no longer has a margin for error.

Opening Series Set the Tone for Steelers’ Pathetic Offense

Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers rushed for what amounted to peanuts so it only made sense to come out throwing right? Three straight runs followed by a punt set the tone for an abysmal 20-10 loss in Cincinnati. Why this ownership and coaching staff have taken their franchise quarterback and turned him into a shell of his former self is beyond me. Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t good...

Cue Aerosmith: Steelers Week 2 positional grades

Quarterback: Ben Roethlisberger was very off kilter against the Bengals. Ben was high and off mark on many of his throws. Roethlisberger went 20-37 for 251 yards, one touchdown, and one pick. Usually Big Ben can handle pass rush very well, but that was not the case against Cincinnati. He couldn’t hit on any pass that traveled over 20 yards. Grade: D Running Backs: Isaac Redman...

Steelers RB Isaac Redman Injured On Opening Kickoff Monday Night

The Pittsburgh Steelers started Felix Jones Monday night at running back against the Cincinnati Bengals after Isaac Redman was shaken up on the opening kickoff. The Steelers used 11 personnel on the opening drive and went three and out after three straight running plays. Redman is now headed to the locker room. The Steelers are now down to just two healthy running backs as Jonathan...

Superman Nearing Steelers Return

Steelers tight end Heath Miller might practice this week, but Mike Tomlin said he won't be Superman. Hey, we'll be the judge. More from Tomlin's press conference:

The ‘Steeler Way’ is Haunting This Team

There are few debates surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers that get people fired up as much as the one over the ‘Steeler Way.’ Most fans interpret this one of two ways; they either use it to describe how the organization does things or they use it to describe the style of offense the Steelers are supposed to have. For purposes of this discussion I shall focus on both because one...

Pittsburgh Steelers Versus Cincinnati Bengals – Second Half Recap

By Matthew Marczi The Pittsburgh Steelers had an up and down first half, particularly on offense, in which they had two prolonged drives, one of which ended in a turnover, with the other in the end zone. A miscue on defense led to a big play on a drive that ultimately resulted in a Cincinnati Bengals touchdown. The two also registered a field goal apiece, with the score tied at 10...

Teams looking for answers after week 2

The still-young 2013 season hasn’t treated every team in the NFL to a kind start.
