Philly Sports Muse:
Eagles quarterback Mike Vick is tired. No, not from practice. He is tired of answering questions about injuries. When you have only had one season when you have played a full 16 games in your NFL career, however, the question should be expected. Over and over again.
Vick’s health is critical to everything he’s said he wants to accomplish this year. If he indeed will not allow Andy Reid to be fired “on his watch,” then he needs to stay healthy. If it is indeed “a critical year” for him, then the best thing for him to do is stay healthy. And if he wants to do come out and prove that his success in 201o can be repeated and the problems of 2011 can be corrected…well, you know the refrain.
The Eagles QB gave a radio interview last week on 94WIP where he got a little testy when asked about his propensity to becoming injured. Vick tried to clarify his stance with reporters on Friday.
“I really don’t think I need to discuss what type of game I’m going to play. It’s going to be what it’s going

Any failures or disappointments from 2011 seem to be forgotten by Philadelphia Eagles fans. With a really positive and productive offseason, morale hasn’t been this high in years.

Philadelphia Eagles DE Jason Babin made headlines recently when he revealed plans to run with the bulls in Pamplano, Spain in July.
It didn’t sound like a good idea at the time and after teammates, including Mike Vick, questioned the wisdom of the decision, Babin will reportedly plan to check off this item from his bucket list at a later time.
Babin didn’t directly come out and...
Vinny Curry was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft and chose to wear number 75.
At first Curry selected No. 75 because of the legends that have worn the number such as Deacon Jones and "Mean" Joe Green, but when he arrived back at home near his college university, Marshall, he realized the number carried a significant meaning...
In the math world, that answer is no, it equals 180. However, for the Philadelphia Eagles, the answer very well could be 47…as in, Super Bowl XLVII.
Fittingly, though, the Eagles have to do a 180 if they want to reach 47.
59, 95 and 91 are the jersey numbers of newcomers DeMeco Ryans, Mychal Kendricks and Fletcher Cox. 34, 22 and 9 were the jersey...
Memories of Veterans Stadium invoke nostalgia amongst Philadelphia Eagles fans who grew up during its heyday.
“The Vet”, as it was referred to, was a monstrous concrete bowl-like stadium that had seating capacity for 66,000 people and was the home of both the Eagles and Phillies. After four years of construction, the stadium was ready for action...
Feelings about Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid vary wildly among Eagles fans and can be a topic of contentious debate. Some feel that Reid simply does have what it takes to get the team the Lombardi trophy the franchise has long awaited. Others look at Reid’s overall winning record with the Eagles and their frequent playoff appearances and seven division titles as proof...
Novelist and journalist Ernest Hemingway was a man’s man. At age 19, Hemingway volunteered to man an ambulance on the Italian front during the First World War. He was embedded as a reporter covering the Greco-Turkish War in 1922, the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930s, and the liberation of Paris in 1944 (where he was known to slap on a helmet and grab a rifle himself – he earned...
The rumors over the past week or two had pointed to Eagles defensive end, Jason Babin, reportedly readying himself for the running of the bulls in Spain this summer. This entire saga has apparently come to an end with Babin saying “it was never a serious consideration”.
Did Jason Babin just pull the ultimate Ashton Kutcher and punk us all?
“I’m not sure what you guys are...

According to a report by the Philadelphia Eagles, Jeremy Maclin is ready to go right now. With the distraction of his mystery illness last year and the hamstring and shoulder injuries that kept him off the field for three weeks, Maclin is more focused than ever. According to the report, Maclin had his ankle wrapped during practice on Thursday, but he was still going full speed.
