Philly Sports Muse:
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mike Vick will soon be a married man. He will wed long-time fiancée Kijafa Frink on June 30 in Miami Beach, 4 days after Vick’s 32nd birthday.
The wedding will reportedly be for about 300 guests and be held at the swanky Fontainebleau Miami Beach, where Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh got married last summer. The guest list will include head coach Andy Reid, the newly super wealthy LeSean McCoy and mentor Tony Dungy.
I am sure my invitation will be in the mail also. Ahem.

Another Philadelphia Eagles player has made the NFL Network’s list of the top 100 players of 2012. But like teammates DeSean Jackson and Nnamdi Asomugha, named earlier in the list, this player saw a major in drop in where his name appeared.
Quarterback Mike Vick was named the 20th best player in the league last year. On this year’s list, he fell 50 spots to number 70. The primary...
It’s hard to look at Cam Newton’s success with the Carolina Panthers and not try to compare him to Michael Vick. No other quarterback in the league can do what Newton can do with both his arm and his feet but Newton has qualities that are already setting him apart from Vick. The most obvious
LeSean McCoy became a rich man on Thursday, signing a five-year extension worth $45 million with $20.765 million guaranteed. That averages out to be just over $1 million of guaranteed money per touchdown McCoy scored in 2011.
Simply put, McCoy got paid because the man is money.

Now that Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has received the long-term extension he was looking for–in an interview with the NFL Network (via ProFootballtalk.com), he made it clear that never even thought about holding out for a new contract.

Yesterday I was asked this question: “What universe are we in?” To which I replied, “Hopefully one in which we win.” It was a simple question brought about by extraordinary circumstances. Those circumstances now lend themselves toward the most anticipated Eagles season since 2005, a year after they lost the Super Bowl to the New England Patriots and appeared poised to bring...
The Philadelphia Eagles decision to sign pro bowl running back LeSean McCoy to a new five-year $45 million contract extension with over $20 guaranteed, was not only smart, it was genius.
When looking at what McCoy brings to table, it is hard to think of a more talented running back currently playing in the NFL, yet McCoy’s deal pales in comparison to that of Adrian Peterson...
At least Owen Schmitt has landed with another team... That will be good news to our Austrian correspondent from the Future, Mr. Bruzer 9.5, who was a big fan of the Beer Truck...Owen Schmitt was a good fill-in for the legacy of the tragic loss of Herman Weaver... but the Eagles are going against the grain of the traditional lead-blocking fullback in 2012...thus Schmitt was expendable...

The presence alone of attorney Peter Ginsberg, who represented Michael Vick and tied the NFL in knots when he represented suspended Minnesota defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams, makes Jonathan Vilma's defamation lawsuit against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell more than just a nuisance case. The veteran Ginsberg knows his way around a courtroom and has in the...
