Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette stated that he would not be surprised if the Steelers traded wide receiver Mike Wallace during training camp. Fantasy Spin: This is purely speculation, but it is worth noting that Wallace has no intention of signing his tender of $2.7M as a restricted free agent, and Pittsburgh is seemingly ready to move on after inking fellow receiver Antonio Brown to a new five-year deal worth $42.5M. And the Steelers previously traded away a disgruntled receiver in Santonio Holmes back in 2010. Wallaces fantasy stock is currently in limbo and is best avoided as an early-round selection in drafts.

No Trade for Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace?

In the never ending saga of Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace, comes the news that the franchise has no plans to trade Wallace. After the Steelers offered up a new five-year, $42 million dollar contract to fellow WR Antonio Brown, speculation began regarding Wallace’s future with the organization. Trade rumors surfaced, but that doesn’t appear to be in the Pittsburgh Steelers...

Mike Wallace not expected to report for at least another three weeks

Getty Images Now that the Pittsburgh Steelers have given Antonio Brown a contract extension, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette doesn’t expect Mike Wallace to show up at all during the next three weeks. “The deal for Brown practically assured that Wallace will not show up for training camp over the three weeks the Steelers spend at Saint Vincent College near Latrobe...

Who Can Afford Mike Wallace And His Contract Demands?

Oh, how the not-so mighty have fallen.  It appears receiver Mike Wallace will not be inking a long-term deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Details about his contract demands indicate he’s looking for around $10 million a year from teams. And isn’t content signing his $2.7 million one-year restricted free agent deal with the Steelers for 2012.    Steelers' general manager...

Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike Wallace Hurting Himself With Holdout

In a business where owners earn millions of dollars in profits on players putting their health in danger, it is very easy to side with the player whenever a contract dispute arises. Plus in the NFL, players’ careers are shorter and contracts are not guaranteed like in other professional sports. But in the Pittsburgh Steelers' latest contract disagreement with wide receiver...

If Wallace wants “Vincent Jackson Money” He May Get it

It seems like it has been years that I have been telling Steelers fans to stop listening to the rumors saying Mike Wallace is looking for “Larry Fitzgerald Money” in his new contract. Now I finally have help in proving my point. Yesterday Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review wr ContinueThe post If Wallace wants “Vincent Jackson Money” He May Get it appeared first on SteelBlitz.

Latest SPIN on Mike Wallace Situation…

Interesting times on the Mike Wallace front. First Antonio Brown gets a big money contract just days after Mike Wallace didn't show up for training camp. That...

Will Mike Wallace be traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers?

The contract dispute between the Pittsburgh Steelers and WR Mike Wallace appears to have taken a turn for the worse. Report: Mike Wallace’s agent didn’t advise him to hold out

Getty Images According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace decided on his own to hold out. It is the wide receiver’s idea to hold out of training camp and, because...

Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Gets A New Contract: It's Antonio Brown Not Mike Wallace

As humidity at the initial training camp practices reaches near-suffocating levels, things in Latrobe just became much stickier.   Wide receiver Mike Wallace has refused to sign his one-year tender as an unrestricted free agent. As training camp neared negotiations for a long-term deal began progressing, but when Wallace failed to report for training camp, the Steelers promptly...

Report: Antonio Brown’s extension means Mike Wallace won’t get a new contract

Getty Images According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, now that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been rewarded with a contract extension, there’s no way Mike Wallace will get a new long-term contract anytime soon. The reason Wallace won’t get a  new deal now is because the Steelers just paid Brown, which means they don’t have the cap room...

Saturday Training Camp Notes

- According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Mike Wallace has turned down a five-year, $50 million deal from the Steelers. I?m sure Dwayne Bowe wishes he had this problem. There was no word as to how much was guaranteed (remember this is football...
