Steelers.com Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace hasn’t had a great season so far and admits he’s having a hard time staying focused in Todd Haley’s offense. “I’ve never been a guy who dropped balls or just lose focus,” Wallace said, per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “The first three years I was always involved, so you just warmed up in games, and you were just into it. “But when you don’t get the ball for two-and-half quarters, you lose focus. But that’s the type of offense this is. We’re spreading it around, so you’re not going to get as many targets. When you get them, you have to make the best of them.” Wallace admits that he loses focus when he doesn’t get the ball. “When I don’t get the ball for a certain amount of time, I lose focus sometimes,” he said. “It hurts me when it’s time for me to make a play.” Wallace says it’s hard to stay positive. “The toughest thing is staying positive through three quarters because you’re not going to get the ball every time,” Wallace said as the team prepares to face San Diego on Sunday at Heinz Field. “You have to be ready to deliver when it comes your way. That’s been the biggest thing I’ve had to learn this year.” Wallace is in a contract year since he’s playing under a restricted free agent tender.  So right now he’ll have to make the best of his situation.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";
